Cathy DeMers, M.Ed
Cathy earned a Master's degree in Special Education in the area of social/emotional development and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from the University of Arizona. She lived in Highland Park, Illinois and worked for the North Suburban Special Education District for 17 Years before relocating back to Tucson in 2001. Cathy worked as a preschool teacher where she met Susie Vincent (Founder of ISP) and helped start International School for Peace in 2004. Cathy enjoys exploring & hiking in beautiful Tucson with her husband Gerry and visiting her daughter Grace in Chicago and her daughter Laura in Albuquerque.
2's/3's Partial Spanish Immersion Teacher, Lead Precare Teacher, Director Designee
Jane was born in Panama City, Panama. She and her family traveled abroad until she was 13 years old. and then moved to the United States. Jane and her husband Art have four children and seven grandchildren. She worked as a ballet dancer for a few years, retired, then started teaching at our preschool. Jane has been a preschool teacher for 19 years and has taught at ISP since 2004. She feels lucky to have so many children in her life.
2's/3's Teacher Assistant & Precare Assistant
Mary is originally from Tucson but has lived half her life in Phoenix. She is excited to be back in Tucson where her son is attending the University of Arizona. Mary has studied Bilingual Early Childhood Education at Pima Community College. She has enjoyed working with children for over 9 years as a childcare provider and in a preschool.
Lydia Seldner Escobosa
Aftercare Lead Teacher & Director Designee
Lydia was raised in Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico and received a professional degree in International Business Administration from Universidad del Valle de Mexico, Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico. She has extended experience in early childhood education. Lydia worked as a volunteer at International School for Peace during the Spring of 2015 and now enjoys her days with our 2/3 year olds. She is married and has a daughter who attends ISP. Lydia likes to play tennis, practice yoga and is a fan of outdoor activities.
Aftercare Assistant Teacher
Ana was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa Mexico and graduated from the Instituto Technologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She came to the United States to attend graduate school at the University of Arizona's Center for the Study of Higher Education. During her time in graduate school she taught Spanish to children in the after school programs with Catalina Foothills School District. After graduating, Ana worked for several years as a Learning Specialist at the University of Arizona. For many years, she has been traveling back and forth to Mexico to help her siblings in caring for her elderly mother. Ana is married and lives in Tucson with her husband Mickael.
3's Full Spanish Immersion Teacher
Zulma is from Guaymas, Mexico and moved to the United States when she was 18 years old. She was a lead teacher at La Paloma & Casita Feliz. She is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is married and has one daughter. Zulma truly enjoys working with children.

Debbie was born and raised in Douglas Arizona and moved to Tucson in May 2006. She has been working with children for 9 years. Debbie has a an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Studies and is Child Development Certified Accredited. She is married and has son. Debbie enjoys going to the gym, hiking, and spending time with her family.
4's Full Spanish Immersion Teacher
Lisi is a native of Puerto Rico where she earned an Associated Degree in Health Information. After moving to the United States in 2007, she took a break to raise her son. After Lisi's youngest son was born, she decided to get a part time job as an assistant teacher in a daycare program where she fell in love with working with children. Lisi has been married 13 years. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising and spending time with her family.
4's Full Spanish Immersion Teacher
Maricela Angulo was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She has been working with children for 5 1/2 years and is pursuing a degree in Elementary education. Maricela has a daughter named Hannah and enjoys watching her grow daily. One of her passions apart from teaching is running and loves to sign up for races every now and then. Her all time favorite quote: "A hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, nor how much money I had in my bank account, but the world may be a better because I was important in the life of a child."
Program Assistant & Farsi Enrichment Teacher
Nooshin was born in Iran and cherished her youth growing up with her family. She graduated from University of Tehran with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She taught in Tehran at an elementary & middle school & later served as the Assistant Principal of the middle school. After marrying her husband she moved to Tucson. She loved raising her daughter, Sara, at home. When Sara started kindergarten, she volunteered to work at her school, Sunrise Elementary. Shortly after, she worked as a volunteer and later as a substitute teacher at ISP. Within a short time she had an opportunity to work as an assistant teacher at ISP School. Nooshin loves teaching and believes teaching is not a job, but a passion.
Melanie grew up in the tiny northern Arizona town of Eagar. She went to Yavapai College in Prescott, and later graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education degree (and an Early Childhood Endorsement). After graduation, Melanie taught 1st grade for 3 years, then transferred to kindergarten and taught for 5 more years. Melanie is married to Adam and was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with her two boys. Her youngest son attends ISP and her oldest son is now in kindergarten. Melanie loves working with children and watching their minds grow as they discover and learn.
Multicultural Music Enrichment Teacher
Alice Pringle has lived in Tucson for over 20 years and has a BA in Music Performance & Music Education. She likes to do International Folk Dancing & Global Chant. She has 3 grown children & has been teaching music movement to young children in Tucson & Minneapolis since 1972.
Hebrew Enrichment Teacher
Cindy Sadowsky has been teaching in early childhood education for over 26 years. She recently retired from teaching everyday, but couldn’t resist the opportunity to teach the Hebrew Enrichment class at ISP! Cindy is passionate about the importance of preschool education and child development. She has two grown children and lives in Tucson with her husband Mike. Cindy enjoys reading, walking her dogs and writing children’s books.
