Cathy DeMers, M.Ed
Cathy earned a Master's degree in Special Education in the area of social/emotional development and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from the University of Arizona. She lived in Highland Park, Illinois and worked for the North Suburban Special Education District for 17 Years before relocating back to Tucson in 2001. Cathy worked as a preschool teacher where she met Susie Vincent (Founder of ISP) and helped start International School for Peace in 2004. Cathy enjoys exploring & hiking in beautiful Tucson with her husband Gerry and visiting her daughter Grace in Chicago and her daughter Laura in Albuquerque.

Jane was born in Panama City, Panama. She and her family traveled abroad until she was 13 years old. and then moved to the United States. Jane and her husband Art have four children and seven grandchildren. Her passion was ballet and studied for her Bachelors of Fine Arts at the University of Arizona. Jane was a ballerina then retired to teach preschool. She has been a preschool teacher for 23 years and has taught at ISP since 2004. She feels lucky to have so many children in her life.
2's/3's Teacher Assistant & Precare Assistant
Mary is originally from Tucson but has lived half her life in Phoenix. She is excited to be back in Tucson where her son is attending the University of Arizona. Mary has studied Bilingual Early Childhood Education at Pima Community College. She has enjoyed working with children for over 9 years as a childcare provider and in a preschool.
Lydia Seldner Escobosa
3's/4's Language Enrichment Teacher
Lydia was raised in Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico and received a professional degree in International Business Administration from Universidad del Valle de Mexico, Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico. She has extended experience in early childhood education. Lydia worked as a volunteer at International School for Peace during the Spring of 2015 and now enjoys her days with our 2/3 year olds. She is married and has a daughter who attends ISP. Lydia likes to play tennis, practice yoga and is a fan of outdoor activities.

Gabriela "Gaby" Grivalvia
After Care Lead Teacher
Gaby graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a certified Medical Assistant. She then learned that her love for children was greater and began her training in Montessori education. She taught for several years in a Montessori School in Tucson. Gaby was born and raised in Douglas Arizona, a small border town a few hours away from Tucson. Spanish was her main spoken language among her family and friends. She is also a mother to an adorable little boy who she loves and cares for very much. Gaby has grown to be very family oriented with an immense love for children and others.

Nooshin was born in Iran and cherished her youth growing up with her family. She graduated from University of Tehran with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She taught in Tehran at an elementary & middle school & later served as the Assistant Principal of the middle school. After marrying her husband she moved to Tucson. She loved raising her daughter, Sara, at home. When Sara started kindergarten, she volunteered to work at her school, Sunrise Elementary. Shortly after, she worked as a volunteer and later as a substitute teacher at ISP. Within a short time she had an opportunity to work as an assistant teacher at ISP School. Nooshin loves teaching and believes teaching is not a job, but a passion.
Melanie grew up in the tiny northern Arizona town of Eagar. She went to Yavapai College in Prescott, and later graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education degree (and an Early Childhood Endorsement). After graduation, Melanie taught 1st grade for 3 years, then transferred to kindergarten and taught for 5 more years. Melanie is married to Adam and was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with her two boys. Her youngest son attends ISP and her oldest son is now in 1st grade. Melanie loves working with children and watching their minds grow as they discover and learn.
Multicultural Music Enrichment Teacher
Alice Pringle has lived in Tucson for over 20 years and has a BA in Music Performance & Music Education. She likes to do International Folk Dancing & Global Chant. She has 3 grown children & has been teaching music movement to young children in Tucson & Minneapolis since 1972.
